First Major Update!





Hello everyone, Kamataya here with a new Update!
For those that have seen my game once before I must apologize for the long wait, I was suffering some burnout and wanted to focus on something else before tackling this project again after I felt like the scope ended up being too big for me. But I got better now and I've been rapidly putting some stuff I've been meaning to add into the game such as:
* Art Rehaul: I got some complaints about the imported assets clashing with my style and so I ended up making everything into basic solid colors. Looks a lot better for the most part but the arms are the one thing I couldn't fix, and tbh it looks cool imo. A happy accident but works in my favor for now. Though if there are complaints, feel free to tell me.
* New Boulders: To mix things up I've included 5 Boulders that you can play with compared to the original Crazy Face Boulder. Each of these boulders mixes up the gameplay a little bit, and how you approach the level, and I'm curious to see how people react to the fun little twists each of them have.
* Special Abilities: Players will now have the ability to utilize an uppercut that can launch the ball into the air. It has quite a bit of impact to it, and if you time your shots well, you can send the ball flying! There will be more special moves in the future but Uppercut is the only one available at the moment.
* QoL and HUD Changes: In the Level Select HUD you are given the ability to select which boulder to use and the option to pick a special move if you so desire before entering the level. The Player HUD also showcases the Special Ability UI, which shows when the player can use the special move and crosshair that highlights when the ball is in range of your punches.
And that's everything involving the new changes to this extended demo. I'm planning to send this to crosspost this game to Steam later, but after GDC ends. I'll be over at a couple of events so stay tuned!
